As a church, we must continue to welcome the strangers among us, and help strangers become friends through our life as a faith community. As well, we must always be looking beyond ourselves to respond to the hurting people and places God brings to us and to our congregation.
As followers of Jesus, lives based on faith are meant to be lives that have been transformed to see beyond ourselves and to claim our ability and necessity to be instruments of God's healing, comfort, and peace in all the situations where God has planted us.
