  WELCOME

"Whether the world or life or death or the present or the future, all things belong to you, and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.

(1 Cor 3:22-23)

 A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR MARTIN

Welcome to the joy of belonging. Can you help us share from our abundance? We’re so fortunate at KPC. People sometimes tell me that they believe in God but not organized religion. After all, you don’t need to come to church to have a relationship with God—but I have found that the deep relationships of love, respect and faith in action that I see at KPC bring me closer to my awareness of God at work in the world. If you haven’t already, delve into all the ways this body of Christ is making God’s love visible. It’s beautiful, and contagious! The more we give together, the more we receive. For our season of stewardship (which is actually year-round), let’s concentrate on how we can build on our connection of belonging to our church, and share that life-changing joy. Today, humanity feels deeply fractured—divided by culture, politics, economics, and countless other forces. But data shows that the one commonality that brings people to church, no matter the denomination or style of worship, is a desire for a deeper sense of belonging. I believe this universal longing—to connect with God's love and with each other—is echoed in Romans 8, where Paul writes, “We do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Holy Spirit intercedes for us with sighs too deep for words.” The fact that you’re reading this means that you’re part of the faith family of KPC, or seeking that connection. Just as God in Christ holds us in love and meets our deepest longings, I believe Katonah Presbyterian Church is a uniquely loving community—continually seeking to make a difference in the world and in our spiritual lives. We are so blessed to have found one another! As part of our shared journey, we invite you to make a financial pledge to support our ministries, and to offer your time and talents to our ongoing work of worship and care. But our goal is that all of us may know more intimately the abundance of God in Christ through the family of KPC, and may our circle grow ever wider. Thank you for being a part of us. May the joy of belonging continue to grow in you, and through you, in the life of our church and the world. Love and light, Pastor Martin

The Joy of Belonging at KPC

Commitment & Belonging

A MESSAGE FROM THE STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE

As we enter a new year, KPC is committed to continuing to provide a vibrant community where all are welcome, all are supported in times of joy and sorrow, and all work together to make God’s love visible both within and beyond our church.  As you plan your 2026 estimate of giving, we ask you to consider how much such a community means to you, to your loved ones, and to the world.

Your contributions ensure that we can continue to provide all the benefits of being part of this community – spiritually meaningful services, a wonderful music program, Christian education for newborns through adults, fellowship and support, wide inclusiveness through online services and coffee hours, support to organizations that serve others locally and around the world – all within our beautiful church and grounds.

KPC allocates funds to its four main ministries and infrastructure costs. Our current operations budget is $467,000, excluding Outreach Beyond our Walls.
About 76% of our operations budget comprises staff salaries and benefits. It is anticipated that KPC will adopt a similar budget and allocation in 2026. Nearly all of our annual income comes from fulfillment of our Estimates of Giving. That’s why it is critical that we submit estimates in the fall so that we can create realistic budgets, and fulfill those estimates during the year.

We ask you to reflect on your relationship with KPC now and consider that your annual giving pledge is a way to share the joy of belonging and help ensure  our future. Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

The KPC Stewardship Committee:

Consider this when you make your pledge:
If every family commits to increase their pledge by 5-10%, and to cover the per capita cost of $45 per confirmed member that goes to Presbytery for their work, we will have a stronger financial foundation from which to share the joy of belonging with all. Your giving makes it possible.
