Sunday School Update: Fall 2023

Sunday School is off to a good start and we are excited to be able to offer a separate preschool class this year for our youngest children, in addition to an elementary class, middle school, and the high school Bibles & Bagels group.

We are using a new curriculum this year- Follow Me: Biblical Practices for Faithful Living. This curriculum is comprised of short units centered on practices Jesus did and taught us to do as faithful followers. Our children and youth have started to delve into the practice of “Welcome All”, which is centered around the practice of Christian hospitality. This unit features stories rooted in hospitality from both Old and New Testaments of the Bible. The hope of this practice is for all of us to look at our own ideas of welcoming all. The classes will also be looking at how KPC practices hospitality and welcomes others, and they will explore how they can contribute to this practice.

Middle School Youth Group will meet at 6:30pm on 10/13 and 10/27. On 10/27 we will be making apple pies for our annual fundraiser! These frozen fresh pies will be for sale during Coffee Hour in November. Reminder, the middle schoolers also have a Sunday School class during worship every Sunday except the 1st weekend of the month.

High School Bibles & Bagels will meet at 11:15am on 10/1, 10/8, and 10/29. The high schoolers will also help with our multigenerational service project on 10/22, as we assemble care packages for women in the Taconic and Bedford Hills Correctional Facilities after worship.

October 22nd we hope everyone young and old can come together for an intergenerational service project during Coffee Hour. We will be assembling care packages for the women at the Taconic and Bedford Hills Correctional Facilities. Many hands make light work!

HELP WELCOMED! Whether you’d like to play with a toddler or chat with a high schooler, whether you are 18 or 80, we welcome your assistance to support and enrich the education of our KPC youth. We also welcome adults to help with youth service projects, such as Midnight Run.
