Mar 28, Service: Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday, observed on the Thursday before Easter Sunday, holds profound significance in the Christian calendar. This solemn day commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with his disciples, where he instituted the sacrament of Holy Communion. The term "Maundy" is derived from the Latin word "mandatum," meaning commandment, referencing Jesus' commandment to love one another as he loved them. Christians around the world gather on this day to reflect on the sacrificial love demonstrated by Jesus through the act of washing his disciples' feet, symbolizing humility and service.

KPC's Maundy Thursday services included the sharing of bread and wine in remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice, a choir anthem, and Scripture readings.

It was a beautiful solemn service which you can listen to by clicking on this link.
