About the event
The Four Winds is a historical fiction novel by Kristin Hannah. It takes place in Texas in 1934, during the Dust Bowl and early Great Depression. Elsa Martinelli, the main character, must make an agonizing choice: fight for the land she loves or go west to California in search of a better life. The novel portrays the harsh realities that divided us as a nation and is a testament to hope, resilience, and the human spirit.
