The rich and varied music program at the First Presbyterian Church of
Katonah is under the leadership of Eileen Laurence, the church's
Director of Music. Ms. Laurence is ably assisted by organist/choir
director Ginny Leeman. Working in concert (pun intended), and drawing
from the rich and varied musical talents in the congregation, our
professional musicians provide music that enriches the services of
worhip, contributes to the cultural life of the community and
encourages the musical talent of all ages. Special Sundays require
additional music; some highlights over the past few years include
Hayden's Creation accompanied by harpsichord and chamber ensemble,
Schoneberg's Wiennachtemusick, for harmonium, piano and strings, a
Paganini guitar and violin duet and Robert Ray's Gospel Mass with
choir, bass and drums.
