Disciple:  Dedicated, Inspired, Servant, Convinced, Informed, Positive, Learning, ENTHUSIASTIC Dedicated Inspired Servant Convinced Informed Positive Learning Enthusiastic: I can’t change the world but I can help change our community! Enthusiasm:  Eagerness, Interest, Fervor, Passion, Gusto & Zeal!   An early translation of the original Greek used the expression “filled with fire”. And that’s how most of us feel about Turning Vision into Mission!  Our capital campaign has been all about trying to educate and inspire the congregation to see our Vision and Mission in a new way. We have looked back over our 180 years of service to the community, the country and the world. At the same time, we are looking forward to meeting the ever-changing needs of the community, the country and the world in the 21st century. Our history records that we have done well.  Our challenge is to do even better as we move into a very different world: one that has instant connection to anywhere, one where our children are exposed, via cable and satellite TV, the internet and cell phones, to information over which we have no control. We live in a secular world where Our Message may be drowned out by the I-Pod world of the future. Your session has looked deeply into how we remain current in an ever-changing world. They focused on Christian Education, our Music Program, Alternative Worship Service and Mission Outreach.  They concluded that we need to modernize our facilities to meet the challenges that lie ahead.  The First Presbyterian Church of Katonah represents a guiding light in our community: a beacon that summons those who seek to learn more about the ways of Christ. Will you join with the large number of members who support our campaign by saying, “I can’t change the world, but I can help change our community”?  Thank you!
