Disciple: The Message Dedicated: I will do my part to support the Capital Campaign
Disciple: The Message
| Dedicated: I will do my part to support the Capital Campaign | | I S C I P L E | As you may have heard, many members of the congregation and a very strong majority of the leadership of your church have already dedicated themselves to supporting the Capital Campaign. Others will be meeting over the next few weeks to hear our leadership discuss the Vision for the Campaign. A number of people have asked individual committee members, “How much should I give to the Campaign?” While no “rule of thumb” will apply to every family, our advisor, The Rev. Nancy Muth, suggests that 4% of gross income is a place to start. For example, if an individual has gross income of $100,000, for the three years of the campaign, he/she would Commit $12,000 overall to the Campaign ($100,000 x 3 x 4%). Several members have already indicated that they can do better than that while some feel, based upon their individual circumstance that they can come close, but not equal the 4% number. Will you Commit to gathering as a family and pray for discernment of what God wants you to do? The Committee will be grateful for each and every dollar that you Commit. |
