COMMIT To The Vision

During the Lenten season 2008, the First Presbyterian Church of Katonah embarked on an ambitious multi million dollar fundraising campaign aimed to renovate and expand the facilities used to carry out our mission.

Some early gifts have been committed, and by the end of February more than 40 friends and church members will have enjoyed an opportunity to visit in small groups with three gracious host families. Several more events are planned for the first two weeks of March.

On the master planning front, an advisory team is helping KPC and our architects Kaeyer, Garment & Davidson refine the concepts and site plan in conformance to the desires and wishes of the town, our neighbors and the membership.

Sunday February 24, the Rev. Nancy Muth, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Germantown, PA (Philadelphia) led a portion of worship, and was introduced by former elder and member at KPC, Susan Mills Farrington, who is currently Nancy’s parishioner. Rev. Muth is the advisor your steering and strategy team selected last year to provide guidance as we make our way through the campaign season and on to success in the Spring.

Though the effort is fully under way, please don’t hesitate to offer suggestions or ask anyone on the committee* a question as we make forward progress towards the master plan vision.

*Chuck Ramsey and Bob Whitton (co-chairs), Hank Bergson, Betsy Bishop, Frank Giuliano, Chip Ross, Bill Weisenbach and Mark White.
