For some of us the unfairness of life and suffering it produces is so galling that we can barely hide our bitterness and it often affects those around us, even those we love  the most.  Why, we ask, does an all loving, all powerful God permit the cruelty and unfairness of life?  

For some, the deepest resentment and blame may be secretly directed at God.  Yet, perhaps out of fear, disapproval, or abandonment of God, we hide these dark unwanted feelings...even from ourselves.  Many unconsciously curse God in the darkness, believing that as long as they don't know that these feelings exist, then they are not held responsible for them.

In the context of our new 5 PM service, The Journey!, our pastors, Bill Weisenbach and Diane Fitch, will help us explore this greatest of all mysteries: Is there any Sense in Suffering?
